Northwestern Junior/Senior High School Families: Students in grades 7-12 will be taking the OHYES! (Ohio Healthy Youth Environments Survey ) during Pride on either Dec. 11, 12, or 13th, 2024. Information about the survey, including a parent opt-out form which can be printed and returned and a sample survey that your student will be taken can be found under Documents on the Northwestern High School website or you can click directly on the link below. PLEASE NOTE: opt-out forms also went in the mail this week; your child can return a signed opt out form any day prior to Dec 11th.

Good afternoon, Warrior High School families! On November 5th, 6th, and 7th, our 10th-12th grade students will be taking YouScience® Aptitude & Career Discovery during their Pride classes. This is a career guidance tool that will match your child’s natural abilities with their passions. This program is meant to expose students to a range of career opportunities that fit their skills and to get students thinking about their future.

Good Afternoon Jr/Sr High Students - Picture Retake Day has been scheduled for Thursday October 17th. If your student was not satisfied with their original photo and wish to have their pictures retaken, please have them return the original packet on that day. If you student does not wish to purchase pictures, they still need a school picture taken for their student ID's. Thank you!

Clark County College Night is tomorrow, September 25 at the Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center from 6:30 - 8:00. As added security, only the the south entrance between the Performing Arts Center and the Hollenbeck will be open as an entrance. Local law enforcement will also add extra patrols around the parking lots throughout the evening as well. We are looking forward to seeing you at College Night!

Hello Jr./Sr. High Students and Parents. Mark your calendars and plan to attend the Clark County College Night on Wednesday, September 25 from 6:30 - 8:00. Located at The Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference center at 275 South Limestone Street. Admissions representatives and Military recruiters will be in attendance to talk with your students. We are looking forward to seeing you at College Night!

This is a reminder to parents and guardians of 8th grade students. The $400 Washington D.C. deposit is due tomorrow, Sept. 10th.
Your child can bring cash or check (Made out to Northwestern Local Schools) to Mrs. Grieser in room 222 at the beginning of the school day. A receipt of deposit will be given to the student.
You may also pay the deposit at Hometown Ticketing and pay with a credit card online. Please know that there is a $1.30 plus 2.9% fee if you choose to pay this way. (If, for any reason, you request a refund, and you paid online with a credit card, you will not receive the fees of $1.30 plus 2.9% back.)

Attention Northwestern Junior/Senior High School families: All students in grades 7 and 12 must have updated meningococcal and Tdap vaccinations. These records were due on the first day of school. If your student has not turned in an updated immunization record or signed a waiver form they will be excluded from school after 9-9-24 until the requirement is met. Please turn in updated immunization records to the clinic.

This is a reminder for current 8th grade students and families. The 8th grade Washington D.C. trip informational meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 28th, from 7-8 pm in the high school cafeteria. Please enter at the activities entrance doors.

This is just a reminder that Thursday, August 15th our Junior/Senior High Open House will be from 4-6 pm. At that time, all 7th-12th grade students will be able to pick up their schedules. Any student who is unable to pick up their schedules at Open House are able to do so during regular office hours on Friday, August 16th and Monday, August 19th (7 am-3 pm). We look forward to seeing everyone this year!

Hello Northwestern Families, Here is a reminder from the Clinic: All students in grades 7 and 12 must have updated meningococcal and Tdap vaccinations. Additionally, any new student to the district must have a comprehensive shot record. These records are due on or before the first day of school. As of 9-5-24, students missing the above will be exempt from school. If your student will be requiring medication from the clinic, medication release forms must be signed by a parent and physician. This includes over-the-counter and prescription medications. Release forms can be found on the Northwestern website under health and wellness. They can also be obtained from the front offices of both schools and/or from the nurses. Thank you for your time and consideration.

As August 1st is rapidly approaching, we wanted to share some important upcoming dates for our Northwestern Junior and Senior High families.
Tuesday, August 13th: 7th grade orientation will be at 5:30 pm. 7th graders will also be able to get their class schedules at that time.
Tuesday, August 13th: 9th grade orientation will be at 7:00 pm. 9th graders will also be able to get their class schedules at that time
Thursday, August 15th: Open House will be from 4-6 pm. At that time, all 7th-12th grade students will be able to pick up their schedules.
Any student who is unable to pick up their schedules at the dates and times noted above are able to do so during regular office hours on Friday, August 16th and Monday, August 19th (7 am-3 pm).
