Hello Parents of Students in Grade 6 - 11,
Mark your calendars for the annual College Credit Plus (CCP) meetings. This meeting is for parents of students who wish to earn college credit during high school for the 2026 - 2027 school year. Students must be college ready and meet college requirements to participate. Please join us to learn more about CCP. There will be two meetings.

County Wide Meeting: Thursday, January 15, 5:30 - 7:30 PM at the Kuss Auditorium.
5:30 - 6:30 meet with college reps
6:30 large group information session
7:00 break out sessions with high school counselors

CCP Recap Meeting: Wednesday, January 28 at 6:00 PM in the NW Jr/Sr High Cafeteria. This meeting will focus on how students can take college classes at the Jr./Sr. High School.

Flyers will be sent home with 6th - 11th grade students in January.

🌟 8th Grade Trip to Washington, D.C.! 🇺🇸

Our 8th graders are having an unforgettable experience exploring Washington, D.C. this week! From tracing history on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to walking through the halls of the Smithsonian museums, students had the chance to see their social studies lessons come to life!

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Veterans 🇺🇸 Today, we pause to honor and thank all those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Your courage, dedication, and sacrifice protect the freedoms we cherish every day. Our Northwestern community is deeply grateful to our veterans — including staff members, family, and community partners — for their service to our nation. Northwestern alumni (class of 1966), Mr. Donald Putterbaugh, donated benches in honor of all veterans. The memorial can be found on campus out front of the Jr/Sr High School. Let us take this day to reflect on the meaning of service and to express our heartfelt appreciation to all who have worn the uniform. Thank you, veterans. Here are two opportunities for families to sign up for a free Thanksgiving meal:

1. The Springfield Police Division is offering Operation Thanksgiving. The deadline to apply is 11/17/25. Meal deliveries will be on 11/25

2. Life Untethered- Must pick up the meal on 11/26 at Studebaker's Restaurant on 41. Deadline to sign up is 11/24.

Jr./Sr. High Parent-Teacher conferences will be held on Thursday, November 13th.

From 3:00-5:30 PM, conferences will be conducted in group format for those staff who want group conferences. Staff not in group conferences will coordinate or be available for individual parent conferences.

From 5:30-6:45 PM, individual conferences will take place for all staff.

Please call the main office at 937-964-1324 to schedule an appointment with teachers you would like to see. If you do not schedule an appointment, please understand that you may have to wait in order to meet with the teacher.

We look forward to meeting with you to discuss your child's progress and success this year!

At the monthly school board meetings, we are recognizing students for their achievements. Teachers and staff members are nominating students for their academics, behavior, leadership, teamwork, work ethic, outstanding performances in a particular academic area, etc. Please help us by congratulating our October students for representing the Warrior Way!

There will be a Special Board meeting on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Athletic Complex. The purpose of this meeting is to hold a work session to discuss district communication and curriculum. Because this is a work session, there will be no action taken during this meeting and no hearing of the public. There will also be an executive session to consider the employment and/or evaluation of a public employee.
