SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE

Welcome to the Northwestern Local School District.  As a Warrior, I am excited to play my part in the pride and excitement at Northwestern LSD.  This K-12 campus of approximately 1800 students shows enormous potential coupled with a rich history and community bonds.

The 2024 - 2025 school year will be my first as the Superintendent and I wanted to take just a little time and give you a quick background about myself.  I have been a coach, elementary teacher, Elementary Principal, Director of Business Operations and I have 11 years of Superintendent experience.  I am originally from Bradford, Ohio and have been married to my wife Audrey for 25 years.  We have two children, Josie and Parker.  I couldn’t be more excited to be the Superintendent of the Northwestern Local Schools.

As we move to the start of the school year, I want everyone to understand the importance that we believe and feel that the relationship between the school district is with the community.  As the old saying goes, “it takes a village to raise a child” and in today’s society, I don’t know if that could be any more true.  We will put the student first and we will provide them with positive interactions so that they can be successful both academically and socially.  We will need your help to provide them with all those opportunities.

I am honored to be a part of this great school district and hope that I can continue to build trusting relationships with our staff, students and the community.  Our goal will be to, “increase the intellectual capital of each and every student.”  Simply put, it is our job to provide the student with the ability and knowledge to sell themselves to an employer, trade school, or college as they walk across that stage at graduation.  At the younger grades, it means we must prepare the students to be ready to transition successfully from one grade level to the next.

The Northwestern LSD will be a student-centered school of excellence supported by staff, students, parents, and community.  I appreciate your continued support in making this mission possible!  Go Warriors!

Yours in education,

Jeff Patrick
